Planet eStream Transcoder Licence
A single institution Transcoder Licence is now included free of charge with the Planet eStream v5 core solution!
The Planet eStream Transcoder is a web upload and convert tool, enabling media to be uploaded to the system from any computer connected to the internet using a web browser. The uploaded media is then automatically converted to the correct format by the transcoding tool and archived to the central media archive.
Each user can track status of any media that they have added to the system, view their media's access statistics, and manage the media via a standard web-browser.
Add with all Planet eStream features, the ability for a user to upload media to the system is based on their permissions, which can be allocated either via their Microsoft ® Active Directory / Novell eDirectory / LDAP v3 group membership or on a user-by-user basis.
A single institution Transcoder license is now included free of charge with the Planet eStream core solution. Multi institution licenses suitable for data centres, central server farms, or sites with multiple campuses are available on a license fee basis.
